AI Harness Belgrade: AI agents meetup in Belgrade

A meetup in Belgrade about the stuff around the model.

The model is the easy part. What makes an AI product work is everything around it: the agent loop, the tools it can call, the context it sees on every step, and the evals that tell you whether last week's change made it better or worse. That's the harness. It's also what decides whether an agent gets past the security review and in front of real customers. We meet at a different venue in Belgrade each time and hear talks from people who build these things. Code is optional.

The talks for this meetup. Each speaker shows something they built, measured or broke.

Topics

What the talks are about. New to some of these words? Good. Speakers start with what a thing does before how it's built.

  1. 01

    Agents

A model that takes several steps on its own. It plans, calls a tool, reads the result, tries again. Where that works, and where it loops forever.

  2. 02

    Tool use

Letting a model call an API, query the company database or drive a browser, and what happens when it calls the wrong one.

  3. 03

    Evals

How you know a change made things better. Test sets, graders, and the long gap between a good demo and a product.

  4. 04

    Context and memory

What the model sees on each step. Search over internal docs, long contracts, remembering a user next week.

  5. 05

    Harnesses

The code that runs the loop: prompts, retries, permissions, audit logs, cost limits. The part nobody puts in the demo video.

  6. 06

    In production

Real users, real bills, and a compliance team with questions. Latency, logs, and the 3 a.m. failure nobody planned for.

Who comes

Builders

You ship things with LLMs, at a startup, inside a big company or on weekends, and want to compare notes with people stuck on the same problems. Bring the war stories.

The curious

You work near AI as a PM, designer, engineering lead, founder or student. Maybe you're the one deciding whether your company builds an agent or buys one. Either way, you want to see how it actually works. No code needed. Ask anything.

Recordings

Talks get recorded and posted after each meetup. Missed one? Start here.

Join the WhatsApp community. Dates and talks get announced there first, and it's where people share what they're building between meetups. Link coming soon.

Give a talk, or host one

There's no fixed venue. Every meetup happens at a different office or space in Belgrade, so we're always looking for the next room. And if you built something other people should hear about, we want the talk. Hosting is also a good way to show Belgrade's AI crowd what your team is working on.
